Hamilton's Leslie Odom Jr. has a critical message: Election results are worth waiting for.
With record-shattering mail-in votes, states are reporting we may not know the results of the election in key states for over a week. Our democracy is founded on the right to vote, and the belief that every vote counts. This year, that means we need to be ready to wait for election results, and ensure no winner is declared until we have comprehensive vote counts.
Failing to validate and count votes is unAmerican and undemocratic. To spread the word that we need to be patient while we await results, we teamed up with Hamilton's Leslie Odom Jr. and Amy Schumer to remix the musical's classic song "Wait for it."
