FLORENCE, Mass. – RepresentUs is pleased to announce that pro-democracy champion Lauren Bartolozzi has joined the organization as Vice President of Advancement. The announcement comes as RepresentUs prepares to build on 170 anti-corruption victories in 10 years, including 15 in 2022.
A seasoned philanthropic leader, Bartolozzi brings nearly two decades of experience building trust-based relationships and centering community in her work. She will provide strategic leadership and thought partnership to RepresentUs, as well as philanthropic guidance to the organization’s robust partner community. Before joining RepresentUs, Bartolozzi served as Senior Leadership Giving Officer with One for Democracy and has held numerous roles working to advance gender equity at the National Women's History Museum, National Academy of Engineering and Planned Parenthood. Bartolozzi started in her new role January 12.
“A government that is built by, of and for the people shouldn’t be such a novel concept. Even though we’re not there yet, I’m hopelessly optimistic that this great experiment we call democracy will not only work, but thrive,” said Bartolozzi. “Challenging a corrupt system is one of the most patriotic things I can think of and RepresentUs is doing just that – with real, proven solutions. I’m excited to continue learning and growing with the anti-corruption community to shape a system where everyone’s voice matters and each person feels valued.”
