RepresentUs Launches Search For Next CEO to Lead Nation’s Largest Grassroots Anti-Corruption Group

The organization is looking for a proven changemaker to take the lead as it expands its reach and wins bigger victories for the American people

Florence, MA - RepresentUs is looking for a new CEO to helm the nation’s largest grassroots anti-corruption organization. After 12 years of pro-democracy advocacy, current CEO and co-founder Joshua Graham Lynn will hand the reins over to a new CEO. Lynn will stay on in a new staff role with the group and join the Board of Directors as Co-Chair.

RepresentUs is committed to finding a new CEO who puts country over party and has the skill set needed to build a movement that makes government work for the people. They will have a background in scaling organizations, leading strong teams, developing effective coalitions, and driving revenue and engagement growth. It’s a unique opportunity for an experienced leader to build on a 12-year record of success at a critical moment in our nation’s history.

“We’re looking for a seasoned leader who has a history of creating real change and impact, not fighting partisan political battles,” says Lynn, who co-founded RepresentUs in 2012 and has led the group since January 2022. “Our model has secured more than 180 state and local victories, recruited millions into the movement, and reached more than a billion eyes on social media. It works and we’re going to find someone who can take it to the next level.”

After the new CEO takes over, Lynn will shift to a role focused on external partnerships and special projects. He will also join Jon DeVaan as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors, which is overseeing the CEO hiring process along with a search committee and executive search firm LeaderFit. Interested persons are encouraged to apply now via this portal, where they can also find a full description of the CEO role.

“Over the last three years, Josh has led the charge to refine our core strategy, win real reforms across the country, and make RepresentUs the vibrant organization it is today,” says Jon DeVaan, Co-Chair of the RepresentUs Board of Directors. “This shift is a reflection of our strength and potential. We’re looking for someone who can help us capitalize on the momentum we have in the most impactful way possible, and I’m confident we will find them.”

Since its founding in 2012, RepresentUs has worked tirelessly to create a government that works for everyday Americans, not special interests. The organization has united unlikely allies from across the political spectrum to win victories in cities and states across America, delivering policy changes that increase representation, expand voter access, reduce the influence of money on our political system, and more. RepresentUs’ next CEO will lead the group as it expands its reach to secure even more wins and even bigger policy changes.
