Public service should not be a pathway to profit
We’re tired of politicians using their influence for personal gain. Lately, that has included making massive profits betting on events like war or government shutdowns.
People in power should not be trading on events they influence or have inside information about.
The PREDICT Act is a bipartisan bill that will:
- Ban members of Congress, the president, vice president, and senior executive branch officials from trading on prediction markets (like Kalshi or Polymarket) tied to political events and policy decisions
- Ban spouses, dependents, senior staff, and political appointees from also trading
- Force violators to give up all profits to the U.S. Treasury and pay a 10% penalty
We deserve a government that works for us, not one where insiders can cash in. Tell Congress: pass real rules that end this for good.
