Tell Your Senator: Reject the SAVE Act

🚨 URGENT UPDATE: The SAVE Act just passed the House. The Senate is our last chance to stop it.

The so-called Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act (SAVE Act) claims to protect voters — but in reality, it’s a dangerous voter suppression bill.

• The SAVE Act would require Americans to provide a birth certificate, passport, or other citizenship document to register or re-register to vote¹.

• State issued REAL IDs would not be considered valid, even though it requires proof of citizenship to obtain. Neither would a drivers license, military ID, or tribal ID.

• And people who have changed their names (including married spouses) won’t be able to use their birth certificate to prove their citizenship².

This legislation doesn’t make our elections safer; it simply makes it harder for millions of American citizens to vote.
