On November 17th, two Michigan elections officials tried to disenfranchise over a million voters by refusing to certify the election results. Thanks to massive public pressure, their election threat was extinguished within hours.
But we’re not out of the woods yet, and there's a real chance that this threat could spread to other states: Partisan political operatives could refuse to certify election results, overriding the will of the voters and attempting to keep their party in power.
If election officials see signatures from thousands of Americans demanding accountability, they’ll know we’re watching and ready to fight for our democracy.
