URGENT: Tuesday at 10am ET, the House Committee on Homeland Security will hold an oversight hearing on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and ICE.

Across the country, what we’re seeing from DHS and ICE operations is unacceptable:

  • Federal agents operating masked and unidentified
  • State and local law enforcement denied access to crime scenes
  • Agents acting with minimal training and no judicial warrants
  • Conflicting accounts about who authorized what
  • A growing track record of abuse with no real investigations

Your Member of Congress has a responsibility to hold executive branch agencies accountable. At this hearing, lawmakers must ask tough questions and demand clear answers:

  • Why are agents allowed to hide their identities behind masks, unmarked cars, and no badges?
  • What roles are Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller playing in shaping or directing DHS actions that have led to abuse? And why did they lie about recent abuses, including the killing of Alex Pretti?
  • Why has state law enforcement been blocked from accessing crime scenes involving DHS or ICE personnel?
  • Who gave the orders allowing ICE agents to violate the Fourth Amendment and operate without judicial warrants?
  • Why is DHS requesting more money before existing abuses are independently and thoroughly investigated and addressed?

Tell your Member of Congress: no more funding for DHS until we have transparency, oversight, and accountability.
