The Department of Justice is supposed to uphold the rule of law fairly, for all of us, not act as a mob-style enforcer for the President. But Todd Blanche, Donald Trump’s former personal defense lawyer, is doing exactly that.

Trump has officially nominated Blanche, who was his personal attorney and is now current Acting Attorney General, to hold the position permanently. The Senate must confirm him, so your Senators have the power to stop him.

Why is Todd Blanche unfit for Attorney General?

  • Weaponizing the DOJ: Under Blanche’s leadership, the DOJ has aggressively gone after civil society groups that work on voter registration and civil rights, including raiding the offices of an Ohio voting rights group and arresting ICE protestors in Minnesota.1
  • The Corrupt IRS Deal & Slush Fund: Blanche attempted to create a $1.8 billion slush fund and give Trump and his family full immunity from audits for past returns as part of a corrupt settlement with the IRS that 35 former judges have described as “collusion” and “fraud”.2
  • Blatant Corruption and Ethics Violations: Blanche has acted on obvious conflicts of interest, including altering DOJ cryptocurrency prosecution policies while personally holding over $150,000 in digital assets.3

Blanche has abandoned equal justice, undermined public safety, and threatened the foundation of our democracy. A vote to confirm him is a rejection of the rule of law.

Your Senator can vote to stop him. Send a message right away below.
