It’s time for Ranked Choice Voting in New Jersey.

It's time to call for hearings and a floor vote on your signature legislation, the "Municipal and School Board Voting Options Act" (S1622).

This law would enable any municipality in New Jersey, regardless of its form of government, to adopt ranked choice voting for local elections after approval by the voters via referendum. So far, seven municipalities have approved ordinances or resolutions calling for the state to act. They are Hoboken, Jersey City, Red Bank, Montclair, Maplewood, South Orange, and Princeton.

The time-tested and increasingly popular non-partisan election reform of Ranked-Choice Voting needs to come to New Jersey, as an option for municipal and school board elections.
