We deserve answers
Recently, Pam Bondi, US Attorney General, faced the Senate Judiciary Committee. She should have addressed growing concerns about the weaponization and corruption of the Department of Justice, of which she is the head.
What she actually did was deflect and attack. She refused to answer questions about:
- The investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and his ties to elected officials
- Border Czar Tom Homan's alleged $50k bribe
- The prosecution of former FBI director Comey, including the President's tweet directing it, and the apparently forced resignation of Erik Siebert, the former US attorney in VA who refused to pursue charges against Comey.
She even sidestepped questions about her decision to dismantle the Public Integrity Section of the Department of Justice, which was designed to investigate corruption and stop political interference in criminal investigations involving politicians, federal judges and other public officials.
This isn’t good enough. We are entitled to full and honest answers about how she is using taxpayer resources at the Department of Justice.
Pam Bondi is set to face the House Judiciary Committee when they return from recess. Tell your member of Congress that it’s not enough to ask the hard questions. They need to demand real answers.
