Texas politicians just proposed gerrymandered districts to try and rig your state senate and congressional elections for the next decade.
Our partners at the Princeton Gerrymandering Project graded these maps an F because they blatantly favor one party over the other. That makes two maps from the Texas legislature received a failing grade.
These gerrymandered maps are as egregious as they are unAmerican – an outrageous plan to go around the will of the voters and guarantee the same politicians win reelection year after year.
If enough of us put overwhelming public pressure on our state senators, they'll rethink drawing these gerrymandered maps. Take two minutes to call your state senator right now and demand they draw fair maps.
