NEED AN ABSENTEE BALLOT BECAUSE OF CORONAVIRUS? OUR ONLINE TOOL SHOWS YOU HOW TO APPLY.

  • Interactive website made by RepresentUs has state-by-state absentee voting rules and links to absentee ballot applications.
  • COVID-19 has upended elections across the U.S.
  • RepresentUs launched a federal and state-level campaign for voting at home, with a national phonebank today.

FLORENCE, MASS. (March 23, 2020): COVID-19 could make it hard to vote in our upcoming elections. It doesn’t have to. RepresentUs created an interactive tool that shows people how to vote safely from home during the 2020 primaries and the general election in November.

Voting at home is the default in five states. In all other states, voters have to request an absentee ballot. And in 16 states voters must provide an excuse to get an absentee ballot.

“This is unacceptable. Voters should not have to decide between their health and exercising a fundamental right,” said Josh Silver, Co-Founder and Director of RepresentUs. “Voting at home is a safe, secure and efficient method of conducting elections.”

RepresentUs launched a campaign to get the federal government and states to expand voting at home options for all Americans. Our online tool also connects people to their senators so they send them a message to support voting at home. RepresentUs is also hosting a national phonebank today

Silver is available for phone or video interviews about RepresentUs’ campaign to expand voting at home.
